Helmut, born in 1965 in Trier, is a master craftsman and banker. He has been interested in Asian martial arts since childhood, inspired by Shoaling Swords and especially Bruce Lee films.
He has practiced various styles since his youth: card, kickboxing, classical boxing, and Kung Fu. In 2018, he began Tai Chi (Chen style) through Kung Fu.
He began studying with Jürgen Meyer in 2019 and trained as an instructor there. Since 2022, he has been a regular student of Ulich Gössler at the training center on Lake Constance (form and teacher seminars) and of Udo Kästner in Leverkusen (Tuisho and form).
